Weirdos

is a series Anastasiia began by letting watercolor shapes flow mindlessly onto paper. After the abstract forms had taken shape did she begin to fill them with characters that seemed to emerge naturally. Each creature, born from the randomness of the initial strokes, surprised her, as if they had been hiding within the colors all along. The idea was born from a desire to create something unexpected, to embrace the comfort of being limited by nothing but the undefined shapes themselves—a process both freeing and oddly reassuring.

For Anastasiia, this method felt like solving a puzzle or discovering hidden patterns in the world around her—in clouds, the texture of a wall, the stars, the stains left in a coffee cup. It became a way to open new possibilities through the gentle constraint of the watercolor forms, turning the act of limitation into a gateway for boundless imagination.
